Swirly Scribble Rose

Now that I am back from OnStage I also wanted to share with you the card and gift I made for my Kiwi roomie Amy Beswarick.  We had a fun couple of days … loads of laughs and totally look forward to being able to do it all again!

I made this cute little card using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to make a cute rose.  I used the small and large ‘scribble’ cut in Real Red cardstock.  I then adhered these to a piece of Watermelon Wonder cardstock and cut around the outer edge.  The little leaves were cut in Wild Wasabi and smodge with a little Pear Pizzazz ink.  The greeting is from the Bookcase Builder stamp set from Stampin’ Up! which fits perfectly in the Layering Ovals Framelit Dies.  The front of my Wild Wasabi card was embossed using the Petal Burst Textured Embossing Folder and a for a little something different I used the de-bossed side for my card.

This card was inspired by my gift for Amy which was a coffee cup with a crochet warmer (made by my talented sister!).  It has little red flowers on it so wanted that to be the theme of my gift.  I did pop the coffee cup in a large cello bag and made a matching bag topper using just the smaller scribble Thinlit.
