Mother’s Day Teapot

I know that Mother’s Day was a fair while ago but I still wanted to share with you the gift I made my Mum this year. I also included this project as part of the last round of Stampin’ Fun and Friends.  I have been going a little crazy on all things ‘exploding’ lately but promise that this will be my last ‘exploding’ creation … for a little while at least. I kept the outside of the teapot very plain on purpose, using clear embossing on the flower image from the Mixed Bunch stamp set as the only decoration.  But once you lift the lid ….

this is where the magic is.  I have a little paper teacup with my version of ‘carnations’ sitting in the cup.

I had a lot of fun creating this project and even some advice from my Stamp Club ladies during the design process (thank you girls!).  There is a tutorial available on my ‘Tutorials‘ page if you would like to make this one for yourself.
