This month my Stamp Club is all about ‘fringing’ with the fabulous Fringe Scissors from Stampin’ Up! playing the starring role in all our projects for the month. Tonight was the official ‘kick off’ and this was the ubber-fun project we made. Using the Simply Stars Stamp Set the gift bag was coordinated with a fun and happy card.
It may be a little hard to see but the stars on the front of the gift bag are actually 3D with a little paper folding technique I showed the ladies. The fringe on the bag and the gift bow are both made using regular tissue paper with a little folding and cutting with the fringing scissors, so easy to make. The gift bag topper slides off over the handles and the yellow fringe is actually attached to the top of the bag. The greeting I used for this project is actually from the “hip hip Hooray Card Kit” by Stampin’ Up! The kit is fabulous and I used it to make all my ladies thank you cards for the month but the stamp set that is included with the kit is just fabulous!
This card will look familiar to the ‘Splash of Colour’ card I created for a challenge last week (if you missed that card here is that post) …. I used the exact same layout, changed the colours and the stamp set. I figure if you find a design that works run with it!
Can’t wait to share a heap more fringing spectacular projects with you in the coming weeks.
