Faux Book Tutorial Freebie

I have been so overwhelmed at all my new subscribers and ‘likes’ on my Facebook site that I really wanted to say a big ‘Thank You’ and what better way to say it than with a project right?  I have decided to give you all a free tutorial (complete with both written and  youtube video instructions).  This is NOT an original idea of mine I did see this ‘Book Card’ on a blog called ‘My Nerdy Hobbies‘ and there were some basic instructions there for it.  So I decided to give it a Stampin’ Up! Stamping T! style makeover using the directions I found as a starting point.   I have changed some of the dimensions but really these books are very simple in there construction BUT a little time consuming.

My book has a ribbon closure and a super fun fabric flower embellishment.  Yep the tutorial also includes instructions for the flower (again not my idea but way too many versions of this out there to truly say who inspired it).  You don’t need to be a ‘sewer’ to make this one either so don’t let ‘fabric’ scare you off.

You can also make a matching brooch as the gift to include in your book.

To download the written instructions go to my ‘Tutorials‘ page and click on the download button. The video is in two parts, one for the book and the other for the fabric flower.

Thank you so much for all you lovely comments and for enjoying the project I make (including my tutorials).  I have another two projects due to be release in the next fortnight both of which I am really excited about.
