Father’s Day

A big thanks to all the girls at today’s Father’s Day card and gift making workshop, it was great fun.  Now that the workshop is done I thought I would actually post the project I demonstrated today.  This easel card is certainly “an oldie but a goodie”.  Very simple to make by using a piece of Kraft cardstock cut at 8″ x 4″ then scoring at 4″ and 2″ to create the folds.  The background for the card is just Bravo Burgundy and Very Vanilla cardstock.  I have used the DSP that you can get as a hostess gift to make the cute little shirt and tie for the front.  There are several really great ‘how to’ videos on the web for instruction on how to fold this shirt so I won’t bore you with the details here.  The greeting stamped on the bottom in Bravo Burgundy is from the ‘Teeny Tiny Sentiments’ stamp set.

By using some scraps of cardstock and a dimensional you can make a ‘stop band’ for your card so that it stands up when you open it.  This card is also great as a photo stand you can send in the mail to someone.

Off to do some more card making …

Cheers, T
