Fairy Celebration Shadow Box

This little Shadow Box card featuring the Fairy Celebration Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! is something I made a few months back and I have been without internet for almost 5 months so haven’t been able to post very much to my blog.  I am slowly going to get up all the creations from the last few months now that I have internet again and thought I would start with this lovely card/box that I made my niece for her birthday.

I did get this idea from another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Juana Ambida and when I saw it I decided I needed to recreate it.  It was a challenging little project that took me well over 6 hours to make, getting every little detail just right.  But I did enjoy every single moment of creating this little card, I totally love the fairies and I LOVE LOVE LOVE to colour so this project was nothing short of just pure joy.

It is actually a really tricky project to photograph to show off just how lovely it is but hope you can get the idea from these couple of images.  I loved colouring in the fairies so much that I also decided to make a matching Canvas Tote bag with the fairies on it.  I used Staz On ink to stamp onto IronOn transfer paper before colouring in the image with Stampin’ Up! marker pens.  On a medium heat setting and with no steam, I was able to transfer some gorgeous fairies onto a small tote back.  As you can see the images are in reverse after you iron them on so you just need to remember this when you are placing them on your project.
