ESAD Eastern Palace Blog Hop

Welcome to another fabulous ESAD Blog Hop!

This Blog Hop is all about showcasing the fabulous Eastern Palace Suite from Stampin’ Up! that has been released a whole month early – yep you can get your hands on this fabulous bundle NOW!

I have seen so so so many wonderful uses of the stamps, framelits and DSP that are a part of this suite and have been inspired a million times over.  However, the one thing I haven’t seen much of is a vintage twist on this product suite … so that is exactly the challenge I set for myself using the Eastern Beauty stamp set and the coordinating Eastern Medallions Thinlits.

I really love the card I came up with by coordinating this new product with some existing favourites and our retiring Mint Macaron.  I have used a lot of the smaller images in the stamp set to create a background for my card stamping them in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  I then used our sponges brayers and a little Crumb Cake ink to lightly ink over the stamping to give a little vintage feel.  The “thank you” greeting is also from this set and works so lovely with a vintage style card.

The dies in the Eastern Medallions Thinlits are so so so amazing and versatile I am sure by now you have seen many many combinations creating amazing patterns.  For my vintage card I needed a little ‘lace trim’ for the bottom of the banner with my greeting so used one of the circle dies teamed with a scallop from the Layering Circles Dies from Stampin’ Up! and I cut the circle in half and attached it behind the banner – a perfect lace trim.

My flower is also made using the Eastern Medallions Dies – yes even the center!  There is so much to like about this suite and I hope you have had found some more inspiration from this blog hop.  If you started this blog hop at the super talented Kelly Kent then you have reached the end of this fabulous hop, if not please be sure to continue to to hop around and see even more fabulous creations – click here to continue to Kelly’s beautiful project.
