Over the last few weeks I have been having so much fun using the Eclectic Layers Thinlit Dies – especially the little quilted pattern piece. One of the great things is that you can make really large panels with this die simply by cutting out the pattern multiple times.
So what do you do with a whole sheet of little box lattice cut-outs? Well you can make a super quick and easy card by placing it in a window cut in a standard card front. Here I have attached a piece of Sahara Sand card stock to the back of the window and cut out a simple “Happy Birthday” greeting and attached it with dimensionals.
Have a bit more time and ‘fiddly’ is your thing? Well you can easily create a super design but cutting out more of the die in different colour so that you can use the ‘negative’ pieces (the little diamonds) to fill in a fun pattern. I have used the same greeting for this card but added a shadow but cutting two of the greeting (one in white and one in navy) and adhering them together a little offset before attaching to the card front with dimensionals.
I hope you have fun playing with this idea, the possibilities are endless and the end result is really stunning.
