With Mother’s Day just around the corner here in Australia, I thought it was time to add a brand new shaped card to my collection. I have done cupcake cards in the past, but let’s just say I have come a very long way in my crafting over the years and it was absolutely time to update my cupcake!
I think cupcakes are just so versatile and one of those things that can make most people smile whether it is for a birthday, a thank you, congratulations or just because – who doesn’t love to receive one?
So I have created a new template for a shaped cupcake card that also can be made into a cute muffin – BONUS! When you purchase my template from the Tutorial Store (remember all my Craft-T-Crew gals get all my templates and tutorials for FREE) you get not one by two different ways to make your cake. Not to mention the mountain of endless possibilities for decoration.
My first cupcake card is a birthday inspired number simply decorated with some sprinkles and a cute little strawberry.
This is Choc-Chip muffin card is very plain but works perfectly for boys/men as well as great to have on hand as quick thank you or just because cards – accompanied with a delicious muffin in one of the cute Takeout Boxes from Stampin’ Up! makes the perfect gift!
I started this journey with this cupcake for Mother’s Day – I have done teapots, flower boxes etc for Mother’s Day in the past but this is my first cupcake and I love it!
Lastly, this super cute number requires no stamping at all and shows just how beautiful a handmade birthday wish can be with the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Designers Series Paper and some embossing.
I have made a quick video tutorial for you to show you how to assemble this one but really it is so easy. I hope you enjoy making the cupcake card as much as I have enjoyed creating it. As an added BONUS for those with a Silhouette Cameo, if you purchase the template I will send you the Studio cut file for FREE – just email me and happy to send it through.
