Colour INKspiration – Woven Hi

We had so many wonderful creations with last fortnight’s Colour INKspiration palette that I can hardly wait to see what everyone will come up with using this new suite of gorgeous colours.

There are some amazing creations from the design team showcasing this combination so be sure to stop in on all the blog for some amazing inspiration.  Then, if you haven’t already, join in the fun over at the Colour INKspiration facebook group here.

I decided to try a new technique for the challenge and something I had not done in a long time – paper weaving!  This technique is super easy and lots of fun to do.  Essentially I started with two 3″ square piece so card stock, one in Gold Foil and one in the Irresistibly Floral DSP.  I used my sponge brayers to add the Calypso Coral and Pool Party ink to the DSP – which is so fun and so easy to do.

I have a little tutorial on how I did the weaving in case you want to try this one for yourself and not too sure where to start ….

I hope you have provided a little inspiration for the Colour INKspiration colours this week and can’t wait for you to hop over to Kim Oliver, our Guest Designer for this challenge, to see her gorgeous project with these colours.
