Today I am so thrilled to share my first official post as a designer with the Colour INKspiration Crew as part of the 5th Blog Hop! I did know last fortnight that I was on the team but it just feels a little more official this time and I can’t tell you how excited I am.
Now for those that don’t know, Colour INKspiration is a Facebook site that has fortnightly colour challenges with over 1000 group members these is so much inspiration to take in. This fortnight the colour palette is one that totally makes my heart sing, in fact I love this combination I think I will make another card with this combination this week.
My card for the challenge was inspired by the gorgeous photos as well as the beautiful colours. I immediately grabbed my Jar of Love stamp set from Stampin’ Up! as those cute flowers reminded me of the flower from that set. I also happened to be in the need of a wedding card for a work colleague, so with my flowers and palette that is exactly what I did. There are a lot of layers to this card but I just couldn’t seem to stop adding elements!
The one ‘extra’ I did do was add another neutral to the colour palette, Early Espresso, just to give me some contrast as all my elements were getting a little lost, but with the addition of a hand cut heart in Early Espresso (also stamped with the Hardwood image in Early Espresso) I had a great backdrop for my delicate flowers. You may not see it very well in the photo but the little Soft Sky and Sahara Sand leaves/branches are covered in Clear Wink of Stella and just give that extra added touch of shimmer to the final look.
I hope you get some inspiration from my card this week and of course all of the wonderful creations from the design team. I am so excited for you to hop by and see the amazing project by the wonderful Nicole Wilson … her creation is simply beautiful this week.
