Colour INKspiration #25

Time for the first Colour INKspiration Challenge of 2018 and this one is a super fun and fresh one to start our challenge year.

Whilst there are only three colours in this combination: Night of Navy, Whisper White and Lemon Lime Twist – remember you can also add a Neutral or Silver/Copper/Gold tones to make this one your own.  I chose to add Basic Black to this combo and am so so so pleased with how this card turned out.

I used only one stamp set too which is always a challenge for me!  I inked up the Perennial Birthday stamp set for the first time and decided I was in the mood for a little fussy cutting so after I stamped out several images in Memento ink and coloured them with Blends and Markers I set about cutting each of them out individually.  I embossed the background of my card with the new Scattered Sequins embossing folder and it is soooooooooooo pretty.  Now I didn’t happen to have any Night of Navy ribbon on hand for my creation but that is another thing I love about my Stampin’ Blends – I can now colour my Whisper White ribbon any colour I want. I added a little extra ribbon on my project by fraying some of the Lemon Lime Twist Finely Woven Ribbon and adhering it to the back of my “Happy Birthday” greeting.

It took me a little while to decide on the final placement of all my elements by I certainly had a blast making this card.

There are so many wonderful creations from the Design Team this week with this colour combo so be sure to continue to hop around all the amazing creations where I just know you will get so much wonderful inspiration and Kathryn Mangelsdorf is up next with her gorgeous card – you need to check out her sequin trick!

I just received my Perennial Birthday set yesterday and if I didn’t have it already, this card would make me want it. I love the contrast of the navy and white. The textured background is fabulous!

Wow, lots of work went into this & it was totally worth it. I love (& until now have overlooked) the scattered sequins ef. Your frayed ribbon looks terrific, as does your coloured ribbon. Such a pretty card. x
