Colour INKspiration #14

Welcome to a fantastic challenge this week for the Colour INKspiration Facebook group. This is a super combination with rich and warm colours just perfect for winter.

You may have arrived here from the uber talented Kelly Kent’s blog but if not be sure to keep hopping around to see all the amazing inspiration the crew has for you with this gorgeous combination.

I decided to break out two new products that I hadn’t used yet from the new Annual Catalogue from Stampin’ Up! for this challenge – the Coffee Cafe Bundle and the Embossing Paste.  I knew I wanted to make my own background for this card as the coordinated Coffee Cafe DSP from Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have all the colours I needed for this challenge -embossing paste was my solution and I am happy with how it turned out.

There are a load of little details on this card including the fun dots along the bottom of the DSP which are from the Mini Treat Bag Dies but I will quickly show you my stencil I made using Stampin’ Up! Window Sheet.

My stencil is a little messy but you can see I simply used the small coffee cup framelit die to cut out loads of cups from a 6″ x 6″ square of Window Sheet.  This is something you could do with loads of the framelits from Stampin’ Up! meaning that embossing paste background possibilities are endless!

Please be sure to continue on over to the amazing Nicole Wilson’s blog where you will see her totally adorable project for this colour combination… you will love it!
