Colour INKspiration 08

After all the excitement of Onstage over the last couple of weeks I am finally getting back into a little bit of a crafting routine again which means back to the wonderful Colour INKspiration challenges and this fortnight the colours are so earthy and calming I really loved them together.

Along with the amazing colour palette I also took a little inspiration from the lovely photograph to create my card.

The cute little ducks reminded me of the beautiful Feather Together stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and knew immediately that I was going to use this stamp set for the challenge.  I also decided to keep my card very simple and try to resist using another other stamp set …. yes this card is made using only one stamp set and the four inks Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede and Early Espresso.  The “happy birthday” greeting is a long image but by partially inking up each word separately I was able to create the perfect layout for my card front.

The feathers are so fun to work with and each one of these on my card is made up of four individual images using the four colours in the palette …. I know the effect is stunning!

I hope you are enjoying the gorgeous creations from the team, it is now time to hop over to Elizabeth Gross’s blog to she her amazing project.
